Where Every Visit to St. Augustine Should Start

For half a century, visitors to St. Augustine have made the St. Augustine/St. Johns County Visitor Information Center their first stop upon arriving in the Nation’s Oldest City. Commonly known as the “VIC,” the center offers information on special and cultural events, brochures and guidebooks for the area's attractions, clean restrooms, a gift shop.

In addition, the VIC is staffed with friendly fully licensed tour guide hosts who gladly share information on attractions, museums, tours, accommodations, restaurants and unique shopping opportunities. The VIC is where a St. Augustine vacation begins, whether you plan to stay a day, a weekend or an entire week.

The Visitor Information Center (VIC) is open 364 days a year (closed Christmas Day), from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Adjacent to the VIC  is the Historic Downtown Parking Facility, a 1,200 car facility that has proven to be visitors' favorite location for quick-and-easy parking. Open 24 hours a day every day of the year the parking facility is convenient to St. George St. and San Marco Ave. as well as the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument.

Parking at the facility is $10 per vehicle per entry. Current handicapped permits are honored and can park for no charge. Office hours at the HDPF are 7:00am to 9:00pm. For more information or to purchase permits, call the office at 904.484.5160.

Overnight Parking

By permit only, overnight parking of RV’s, tour buses and trailers is available in the lot designated for such vehicles on Riberia Street. The permits are $26.50 ($25.00 plus $1.50 sales tax) and are available at the parking facility office. The City is not responsible for the security or safety of vehicles parked in the lot and camping is not allowed.
